Haleema comes from a background of teaching primary school programs and Social Worker
She was first introduced to Gary and MFFS agency in 2013 in her role of social worker making referrals for children and families requiring language specific counselling.She returned to MFFS in 2021 to complete her MSW internship and ended up happily staying. She found it very refreshing knowing that those in need could access counselling services with minimal barriers.
She considers herself an agent of social change whether it's through counselling practice, community engagement and/or advocacy work.
Outside of work, she like to spend time outdoors, cooking, gathering with family, friends, and volunteering for local charities.
